Xiaomi India has finally launched two new Redmi smartphones today in India. Dubbed as Redmi K20 Pro and Redmi K20, the new smartphones will be available for sale starting. The new flagship smartphone under the Redmi sub-brand - Redmi K20 Pro is priced from Rs 27,999. Moreover, the Redmi K20 costs Rs 21,999 for the base variant featuring 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. The smartphone will be sold online via Mi.com and Flipkart starting July 22, 2019. As a reminder, the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro was launched in China earlier this year in May. As far as the specifications are concerned, the Redmi K20 Pro is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset. The device also gets a Kyro 485 CPU with first Tri-cluster CPU architecture giving additional 40 percent of jump in terms of performance. The chipset on the smartphone is mated to Adreno 640 GPU for elite gaming along with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB internal space. In order to enhance overall game play, the company has introduced the second generation Game Turbo which features performance mode 2.0, touch enhancement 2.0, visual enhancement and sound quality optimisation. The overall appeal of the smartphone is enhanced by an iconic 'Red accent' button, aluminiun frame, 3D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and Holographic ring. The Redmi K20 Pro and Redmi K20 come in three exciting colours - Glacier Blue, Flame Red and Carbon Black.

The Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro gets Horizon AMOLED display giving true full screen experience. They get a 6.39-inch FHD+ display edge-to-edge display with narrow minimum bezels. The smartphones are also incorporated with 7th generation in-screen fingerprint sensor. Another highlight of the smartphone is a 20MP pop-up selfie camera which is claimed to rise within 0.8s. The Redmi K20, on the other hand, also gets a triple camera setup comprising a 48MP Sony IMX582 lens, a 13MP ultra-wide lens and an 8MP telephoto camera.
Moving to the camera department, the new Redmi K20 Pro gets a triple rear module comprising of 48MP Sony IMX586 primary lens along with a 13MP ultra-wide lens and an 8MP telephoto camera. Both the smartphones runs the latest Android 9 based on MIUI 10. The Redmi K20 Pro comes with a 4000 mAh battery with 27W SonicCharge. The company claims that the technology can charge up to 58 percent in 30 mins. The regular variant - Redmi K20 also gets 4000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging.
As far as the prices are concerned, the 6GB + 128GB of Redmi K20 Pro is priced at Rs 27,999 whereas the 8GB + 256GB variant will retail at Rs 30,999. On the other hand, the base variant of Redmi K20 with 6GB RAM + 64GB internal space will cost Rs 21,999 while the bigger version with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage will retail at Rs 23,999. The company has also announced the Redmi K20 Pro Signature Edition which will be limited to 20 units only. The company hasn’t finalised the price for the device that is made of gold and diamond which could be priced at Rs 4.8 lakh.
