San Francisco, August 13: Subha Tatavarti, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Indian IT major, has resigned from her position, effective August 16, 2024. The news of Subha Tatavarti's departure from the company has come after CEO Thierry Delaporte resigned on April 6, 2024. After the former CEO, this would be another high-profile exit at the tech company. 

Former Wipro CEO Thierry Delaporte said he resigned to pursue "passions outside the workplace." Now, Wipro CTO Subha Tatavarti has announced her resignation for the same reason. Previously, the tech giant witnessed other people from higher positions. Who Is Subha Tatavarti? What Are Her Qualifications?

Subha Tatavarti reportedly handed a copy of her resignation letter to Wipro on August 9, 2024, as per the company's filing. According to her LinkedIn page, Subha joined Wipro Limited in the San Francisco Bay Area in May 2021 as Chief Technology Officer. She has worked for the company for three years and six months. 

Previously, Subha was an advisor at Stripes, Sierra Ventures, and Sedai.io. She has also worked as a governing board member at OpenSSF. As per the official Wipro page, Subha Tatavarti brought rich IT industry experience in product development, delivery, lifecycle management, cloud computing services, data technology and analytics. Her major roles were at Walmart and PayPal. The company said she previously led product, tech, development, and commercialisation of Walmart's Enterprise Infrastructure. 

Subha had over 10 years of experience in PayPal as head of the product, data platform, and infrastructure, where she successfully drove transformation through API-driven interoperable platforms. In terms of qualification, Subha holds a Master's in Computer Science. Her passion and hobbies include hiking, trail running, reading philosophical books, 18th and 19th century classics, and managing. In her resignation letter to Wipro CEO Srini Pallia, Subha Tatavarti wrote - "Hi Srini, I am resigning from the post of CTO, Wipro effective August 16. Good luck with your journey. Thanks."
