WhatsApp's New Group Invitation Control Feature is currently available for iOS TestFlight users and the same has been spotted for Android Beta Users.
We previously reported that WhatsApp is planning to bring group invitation control feature on the WhatsApp messenger that will bring more security and control to the users. The company has started rolling out this new feature for Android Beta users. However, this new feature is currently disabled by default which was spotted by WABetaInfo. With the help of this feature, the users will be asked for a permission before being added to any random WhatsApp group. This new group invitation control was spotted on the WhatsApp Android beta update with version 2.19.55 which is the same feature that was released for iPhone users beta users on iOS TestFlight users. As the feature in early development, the feature is not available for all memebers of WhatsApp beta programme on Android. The same is expected to be rolled out to all beta users soon after fixing all the bugs and glitches. However, there is no official confirmation when this new group invitation feature will be made available for the beta testers. Also, there is no detail about when the same will be rolled out to stable users. This new group invitation feature can be accessed on WhatsApp Android Client by heading to Settings > Account > Privacy > Groups - as per the claims from WABetaInfo.
