San Francisco, July 2: After recently announcing Meta AI to the WhatsApp app, the platform is working on a new feature allowing users to create their own AI images. WhatsApp-parent Meta is reportedly working on a new feature to boost its image generation capability. It is said to bring AI-powered image generation capability by letting users create their own images.
WhatsApp currently allows users to create AI-generated images of different prompts; however, it does not offer the ability to generate users' photos. This limitation will be removed when Meta-owned WhatsApp launches its new feature. Business Standard said in its report that the Meta's AI-powered image generation capabilities were identified in Android's latest WhatsApp beta version. iOS New Feature Update: Apple Introduces New Features and Multilingual Siri Support via iOS 18 for Users in India.
The report mentioned that the WhatsApp beta website said users would need to provide photos to use this feature. Meta AI will process them and then generate the images showing the user. WhatsApp users could also provide additional prompts to change the background or other settings of the image, allowing them to unleash their creativity. Regarding privacy, the report mentioned that the users would have full control over this feature, which would allow them to delete or set up different photos at any time.
How To Create AI Images of Yourself on WhatsApp?
WhatsApp users first need to set up this feature to create AI images of themselves on the app or the web by taking photos. After taking their photos, the users would need to ask the Meta AI chatbot to generate the images using the provided prompt. The users would have to write "Imagine Me" as a pre-fix before any prompt. For group conversations, WhatsApp users could use this feature by adding the "@Meta AI" tag, followed by the "Imagine Me" prompt. Using these details, the Meta AI chatbot would generate the image using artificial intelligence in an individual chat or a group. Besides, users who do not need this WhatsApp feature can disable it, as Meta would introduce it as optional. It would be accessible through the in-app settings menu.
