WhatsApp has become such a primary source of communication in the present day. There are countless times when we ask the other person to just WhatsApp than make a call. It is easier to type and convey a message quickly especially if you’re travelling and the voice isn’t audible. Every smartphone owner may not have any other fancy applications but WhatsApp is a must, thanks to its efficient service. But there’s a catch now for some smartphone users. Post of December 31, the messaging application will not be available on certain devices. Phones operating Blackberry OS, BlackBerry 10, and Windows Phone 8.0 and older will not be able to use WhatsApp in 2018.
WhatsApp issued an update about its services being unavailable on the following platforms for Nokia Symbian S60 after June 30, 2017. For BlackBerry OS and BlackBerry 10 it won’t work after December 31, 2017, Windows Phone 8.0 and older after December 31, 2017, Nokia S40 after December 31, 2018, Android versions 2.3.7 and older after February 1, 2020.
So basically, if you happen to use a blackberry or windows phone, you need to upgrade them to newer systems to be able to use WhatsApp. WhatsApp has been getting newer features with every update. In November they had a new update which gave the user an ability to watch a YouTube video within the messaging app. One can view videos within the chat window, a feature every user would welcome. So no more redirecting to another application. So, WhatsApp has taken user convenience into account and introduced newer features.
The messaging app has almost become a must for everyone. So it is important you upgrade your phones with newer versions to enjoy their best and smooth services.
