San Francisco, October 20: WhatsApp is working on a new meta AI feature to boost users' engagement on the platform. The meta AI chatbot is currently offering text and image responses on WhatsApp. However, users would have to write new prompts every time from scratch, making it tedious. This problem will be resolved as the platform is testing a new feature called "Chat memory for Meta AI" and will likely roll out soon for all users.

WhatsApp Meta AI's new 'Chat memory' feature sounds similar to the ChatGPT memory feature that remembers commands or suggestions and follows instructions for further interactions. The new WhatsApp feature is currently under development; however, it is being rolled out for beta testers via the Android 2.24.22.9 version update through the Google Play Beta Program. WhatsApp Beta, or WABetainfo, posted that the platform was working on a voice chat mode to help users communicate with Meta AI. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg already announced that the Meta AI chat assistant would support voice chat mode for real-time conversations through voice instead of text. Now, the new memory feature in Meta AI would help users remember previous details of the conversations. 

The WhatsApp Meta AI, chat memory feature, would help users receive more relevant responses based on their previous interactions, information, and conversations. The WABetaInfo said that Meta AI could also remember the users' allergies, as well as personal interests like books, documentaries, and so on. The chat memory feature in Meta's artificial intelligence system would enhance the personalisation and interaction of users and help them give tailored responses. If the users do not like some dishes or likely particular movies or have already communicated their preferences, then the Meta AI will remember those. Next time, they will not provide such suggestions.
