New Delhi, August 18: WhatsApp, the Meta-owned platform, is reportedly set to introduce new features that is expected to enhance user interaction. The new features will likely allow WhatsApp users to express their feelings about status updates with a "like" button, similar to what is seen on Instagram stories. Additionally, WhatsApp is working on custom chat themes for Android users, which might give them more control over their chat appearance. These features is anticipated to make the app more engaging and visually appealing.

As per a report of Times Now, WhatsApp is expected to introduce a new feature that could allow users to express their appreciation for status updates with a "like" reaction, similar to how users interact on Instagram Stories. It is expected that all users who reacted to a status update will likely be listed in the viewers sheet, which may make it more convenient to keep track of who liked the shared content. Additionally, WhatsApp may be working on another feature that will enable custom chat themes for Android, as per a report of Indian Express.
