New Delhi, June 30: Meta-owned WhatsApp has introduced a new "Events" feature, allowing users to plan and manage events directly within their WhatsApp groups. The new feature was initially available only in WhatsApp communities and has now been extended to regular WhatsApp groups as well. WhatsApp continues to innovate and expand its capabilities, making it easier for its users to stay organised and connected. As per the report of ABP Live, the WhatsApp Events feature enables users to create interactive event messages, complete with details such as date, time, and location. Group members can then respond to the event invitation, confirming their attendance. WhatsApp users can also pin event announcements at the top of group chats. It will ensure that important information about upcoming events remains easily accessible to all members. How To Use the WhatsApp Events Feature?

Navigate to the group chat where you want to create an event. Tap on the new "Events" option within the group chat. You will be prompted to enter details such as the event name, date, time, location and call link. Event descriptions have a maximum limit of 2,048 characters.
