How Scams on WhatsApp Take Place

Several reports indicate that scammers and fraudsters use WhatsApp to commit various scams. These scams often involve activities such as money laundering, identity theft, or gaining unauthorised access to a user's device, as per a report of Financial Express. Scammers send messages that include links with urgent requests, such as asking users to update their KYC (Know Your Customer) details. Because of the urgency in these messages, many users click on the link and provide their personal information. Once users enter their details, the scammers can access this information and use it to carry out scams. WhatsApp New Feature Update: Meta-Owned Messaging Platform To Soon Introduce Contact Management From Linked Device; Check Details.
