WhatsApp New Features
According to multiple reports, these new features are being rolled out and will be available soon to its users. It means that soon, WhatsApp users will be able to mention others in their WhatsApp Status updates and will allow those mentioned to share or repost the Status. WhatsApp has reportedly stated that currently, users can mention up to five people in a Status. Additionally, they are developing a new feature that will allow users to tag someone without displaying their name. Reports also indicate that when someone is mentioned in a WhatsApp Status update, they will receive a private notification. Additionally, the Meta-owned messaging app is introducing a "like" button for Status updates, similar to the heart button on Instagram. When you like someone's Status on WhatsApp, the number of likes remains private. WhatsApp has reportedly stated that these likes are confidential and do not have a visible counter. Only the person who posted the Status will be able to see who liked it in their list of viewers.
