Mumbai, June 20: The Chinese tech giant Vivo has silently launched a new Y-series smartphone - Y58 in India. Vivo Y58 5G comes in a single configuration - 8GB RAM + 128GB storage carrying a price tag of Rs 23,999.
Vivo is offering a discount of up to Rs. 4,500, which brings the effective cost down to Rs. 19,499, as a part of the launch offer. Vivo’s latest Y-series mid-range smartphone has two colour choices - Himalayan Blue and Sundarbans Green. Vivo’s 5G phone sports a 6.72-inch LCD screen with 120Hz refresh rate, 2408X1080 pixel resolution and 1024 nits of peak brightness. Powering the Vivo Y58 handset is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC paired up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It is backed by a massive 6,000 mAh battery with 44W fast charging support. It runs on Vivo's Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14 OS out-of-the-box.
For photography, the Vivo Y58 has a circular dual rear camera module surrounded by a classic sunburst pattern and a Smart Dynamic light. The setup comprises a 50MP primary shooter with f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP bokeh lens with f/2.4 aperture. The front camera is an 8MP snapper placed in a punch-hole cutout. For security, it gets a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The phone has an IP64 rating for protection against dust and water.
