Mumbai, July 9: The Chinese smartphone maker Vivo has announced the launch of two new smartphones under its Y28 series. Vivo's Y28 lineup now has three offerings - Y28, Y28e and Y28s. Both phones are available for purchase through Flipkart, Vivo e-store and offline retail stores. Vivo Y28s comes in two colours - Vintage Red and Twinkling Purple, while the Y28e also gets two shades - Vintage Red and Breeze Green.

Prices for the Vivo Y28s start from INR 13,999 for the 4GB+128GB variant. The mid variant with 6GB+128GB configuration costs INR 15,499. The top-end 8GB+128GB variant has a price tag of INR 16,999. Vivo Y28e, on the other hand, comes in two variants - 4GB + 64GB and 4GB + 128GB that cost INR 10,999 and INR 11,999, respectively. Watch Redmi 13 5G Launch Live Streaming.

Specifications-wise, both Vivo Y28s and Vivo Y28e sport a 6.56-inch 90Hz high brightness sunlight display with up to 840 nits peak brightness. The former is an HD+LCD display, while the latter is an HD display. They draw power from the same MediaTek-sourced octa-core Dimensity 6100 5G SoC. For photography, both Vivo Y28s and Vivo Y28e come equipped with a dual rear camera setup. Vivo Y28s gets a 50MP Sony IMX 852 primary sensor with an 8MP front camera. Vivo Y28e, on the other hand, has a 13MP primary lens and a 5MP selfie shooter. They get a massive 5000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support. They run on FunTouch OS 14 based on Android 14. Both get an IP64 rating for protection against dust and water.
