Vivo Y200 GT 5G Series To Be Launched on May 20; Check Expected Price, Features & Specifications
The upcoming Vivo Y200 GT 5G is said to be rebadged iQoo Z9 that went official in the China market in April.
Mumbai, May 13: Vivo will officially announce the Y200 GT series in China on May 20. It was made official by the tech giant on its official Weibo account. The brand could also introduce Vivo Y200t alongside the Y200 GT. The two new smartphones will join the Y200i that went official last month. The upcoming Vivo Y200 GT 5G is said to be rebadged iQoo Z9 that went official in the China market in April. Vivo X Fold 3 Pro Launch in India Expected in Early June.
As per Vivo’s post on Weibo, the launch event will begin on May 20 at 2:30 PM local time (12 PM IST). The brand also immediately introduced a microsite of the upcoming Series - revealing the upcoming Y200 GT 5G -for which registrations are already open. Vivo’s Weibo post also revealed the Y200 GT 5G's design, giving a clear image of the handset. The rear section appears identical to the iQoo Z9, hinting at a remodelled edition of the iQoo model.
The official post regarding the upcoming launch also revealed its overall design. The back panel appears identical to that of the iQoo Z9, backing claims that the expected handset is said to be a remodelled version of the iQoo model.
If it is a rebranded iQoo Z9, the smartphone will sport a 6.78-inch FHD+ display with 144Hz refresh rate. It's expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC and pack a 6,000 mah battery with 80W fast charging. For photography, it will get a 50MP Sony LYT-600 primary shooter with a 2MP depth sensor and a 16MP selfie. The phone will run on Android 14-based OriginOS 4. Prices for the iQoo Z9 start from CNY 1599 (around Rs. 18,850) while the iQoo Z9x is priced from CNY 1,299 (around Rs. 15,300).
The rumoured Y200t is likely to be a rebadged version of iQoo Z9x. It could get a 6.72-inch FHD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, a 6,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging support, a 50MP dual rear camera setup, and an 8MP selfie shooter.
