Mumbai, August 24: The Chinese smartphone brand Vivo has silently launched a new affordable smartphone under its Y-series in India. Christened Vivo Y18i, the 4G phone carries a price tag of INR 7,999. Vivo Y18i is available in a sole configuration - 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. It can be purchased online via Flipkart, Amazon, official brand and Croma. Vivo offers the 4G handset in two colours - Gem Green and Space Black.

The Vivo Y18i sports a 6.56-inch HD+ LCD panel carrying a refresh rate of up to 90Hz with a peak brightness of 528 nits. The affordable smartphone is powered by a 12nm octa-core Unisoc T612 chipset, that is paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Moreover, the internal storage can be expanded up to 1TB via a microSD card. It runs on Vivo’s Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14 out-of-the-box. Vivo T3 Pro 5G India Launch Confirmed For August 27.

For photography, there is a dual rear camera setup comprising a 13MP primary shooter with an f/2.2 aperture and a 0.08-megapixel secondary camera with f/3.0 aperture functioning as a depth sensor. The front camera is a 5MP shooter with f/3.2 aperture for selfies and video calls. It packs a massive 5,000 mAh battery with 15W wired charging. The phone gets an IP54 rating for protection against dust and water splashes. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and a USB Type-C port.
