Vivo is all set to launch its first foldable smartphone - X Fold 3 Pro in the Indian market on June 6. Alongside the launch date announcement, the Chinese tech giant gave the first glimpse of the upcoming foldable. Additionally, Vivo's first foldable device has been teased online via Amazon and Flipkart as micro-sites are already in place, revealing key features and specifications before its official debut. According to the micro-sites, the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro will be the lightest foldable smartphone with 236 gm of weight. The device has a thickness of 1.12 cm (11.2 mm) when folded. In an unfolded state, the device measures 0.52 cm (5.2 mm). The device will sport a carbon fibre ultra-durable hinge that ensures 100 folds every day for over 12 years.
Under the hood, there will be a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, which is a dual flagship chip ensuring top-tier performance. Moreover, the X Fold 3 Pro will be the first foldable smartphone to pack this chipset. It will be backed by a massive 5,000 mAh battery with 100W fast charging and 50W wireless charging support. The company has collaborated with ZEISS for optics promising exceptional photography capabilities.
Once launched, Vivo's X Fold 3 Pro will take on other foldable smartphones on sale in India. It includes Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 5, OnePlus Open and Tecno V Phantom Fold. The brand introduced the X Fold 3 Pro in China a few months ago. The phone has a starting price tag of CNY 9,999, which is approximately Rs. 1.17 lakh.
