Mumbai, September 16: Vivo is planning to launch its new smartphone in India this month, the "Vivo V40e 5G," which will feature a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor and a larger 5,500mAh battery. The device will bear a identical rear design to the Vivo V40 series, including the Vivo V40 and Vivo V40 Pro. However, the company may not introduce the ZEISS camera lens in the V40e model. The smartphone company expected to launch its new smartphone at the end of the month.

The Vivo V40e's launch date, along with its actual specifications and features, has yet to be confirmed. According to several reports, the company may take inspiration from the latest iPhone 16 Pro series's Desert Titanium colour option and offer the same for its Vivo V40e smartphone. Vivo is expected to offer a minimum of 8GB and a maximum of 12GB RAM, along with up to 256GB internal storage. The smartphone will be powered by a Dimensity 7300 SoC that can achieve up to 7,30,000 AnTuTu benchmarks, ideal for multitasking and playing light games. It is anticipated to have  Android 14-based FunTouch OS 14. The Vivo V40e is rumoured to feature a large 5,500mAh battery that will support 80W flash-charging. 

The upcoming Vivo smartphone may feature an OLED panel with 1.5K resolution. The V40e display is also expected to offer up to 4,500 nits of peak brightness. The rear design boasts two circular camera modules—one featuring a lens and the other having a flashlight ring. With these specifications, the Vivo V40e may take on Realme GT 6, OnePlus Nord 4 and Motorola's smartphones falling around the same benchmarks. More details on the devices are yet to be revealed.
