Mumbai, July 23: The Vivo 40 Series, including the Vivo 40 and Vivo 40 Pro, will be launched in India soon. The Vivo 40 was spotted on the BIS certification website last month while the Vivo V40 Pro recently spotted on Geekbench, hinting at an imminent launch. Ahead of the launch of these camera-centric smartphones, some reports have shared details about expected specifications and features.

The upcoming Vivo V40 smartphones will have a premium design and better specifications than the predecessor Vivo V30 series. The Chinese smartphone company will likely introduce the Vivo V40 and Vivo V40 Pro in India in August 2024. Vivo V40 is rumoured to launch with a 6.78-inch 120Hz AMOLED display offering 1260x1800 pixel resolution. The RAM and internal storage on the entry-level device are expected to be 8GB and 256GB, respectively. Vivo V40 is expected to come with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC. In terms of camera, the smartphone will likely offer a 50MP wide-angle and 50MP ultra-wide lens on the rear. On the front, the smartphone will reportedly have a 50MP camera for high-quality selfies and video recording. Both the cameras are rumoured to support up to 4K recording. 

Vivo V40 is expected to have a sleek design measuring 7.58mm in thickness and weighing 190 grams. The smartphone is expected to have a Bluetooth 5.4 version, NFC support, FunTouch OS based on Android 14, IP68 rating, Wi-Fi 5 support and USB Type-C charging. The Vivo V40 Pro, on the other hand, is expected to have a MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ processor and 50MP Sony IMX921 camera with OIS, 50MP ultrawide+50MP IMX816. The Pro variant is expected to offer a 50MP Zeiss lens for selfies. The other features would remain the same as per the reports. The price of the Vivo V40 series in India is expected to start at INR 28,000 or INR 30,000.
