Mumbai, July 24: The Chinese smartphone maker Vivo has started teasing the soon-to-be-launched V40 series, which is expected to go official in the country very soon. If the market reports are to be believed, Vivo 40 and Vivo 40 Pro smartphones will launch sometime next month. However, the phone maker hasn’t announced the India launch date yet. It’s worth noting that the Vivo V40 handset was unveiled in Europe last month, giving us a fair idea of what to expect from the phone. Vivo has dropped key specifications of the Vivo V40 Pro as well.

The Vivo V40 will have a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED with 144Hz refresh rate supporting up to 4500nits peak brightness and HDR10+. It will come powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. It will have a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor with OIS and ZEISS optics and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. The front camera will be a 50MP snapper. It will run on Android 14 based on Funtouch OS 14. POCO F6 Deadpool Edition Launch Confirmed on July 26.

As per the details available on the official website, the Vivo V40 Pro will sport a 50MP primary camera with Sony’s IMX921 sensor, an upgrade from V30 Pro's IMX920 sensor. The ultra-wide sensor will be the same 50MP shooter. It also gets a 50MP 2x telephoto portrait camera with a Sony IMX816 sensor. The front camera is a 50MP snapper with 92° FOV. Realme NARZO N61 Launch Confirmed on July 29.

The handset will have IP68 ratings for protection against water and dust. The brand has also confirmed that it will be the slimmest phone in the category to pack a 5,000 mAh battery. It will offer 20 per cent more energy density ensuring 1,000 mAh more battery compared to a battery of the same size. Vivo will offer Vivo V40 Pro in two shades - Ganges Blue and Titanium Grey, while the Vivo V40 will come in three colours - Lotus Purple, Ganges Blue and Titanium Grey.
