Vivo, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer, officially launched a new smartphone in the home market. Launched at a starting price of CNY 2,698 (Rs 27,000), the new Vivo S5 phone is dubbed as a mid-range smartphone that features a 48MP quad rear camera, punch hole display and Snapdragon 712 SoC. The phone will be made available in three shades - Icelandic Blue, Phantom Blue and Star Black. As of now, there is no word from Vivo if they will be introducing this smartphone to the Indian market. Vivo U20 Smartphone To Be Launched in India on November 22.

Coming to the design front, the Vivo S5 sports a 6.44-inch FHD+ OLED Display with a punch-hole screen, which is observed on new Vivo devices. The handset carries a screen to body ratio of 91.38 percent, ensuring a bezel-less experience for the users.

The phone comes powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 processor paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB onboard storage. The company is also offering memory expansion provision with a microSD slot.

For optics, the Vivo S5 phone comes with a quad-camera module at the back comprising of a 48MP primary shooter, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 5MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro sensor. The new smartphone from Vivo is fuelled by a 4010mAh battery with a 22.5W fast charging technology. The company claims that the phone can last for a full day on a single charge. The phone will run on Android Pie based on FunTouch OS 9.2.
