Vivo, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer is gearing up to launch another smartphone in the country. The upcoming phone will be the first handset to be introduced under the S-series. Expected to be launched on August 15, the Chinese phone maker has officially released a teaser video to give hints about the arrival of the device. We already know that the smartphone is available in Indonesia with a price tag of IDR 3,599,000 (around Rs 17,700). When launched in the country, the new Vivo S1 smartphone will be pitted against the likes of Realme X and newly launched Redmi K20 Pro.
The upcoming Vivo S1 handset will be the first handset to be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P65 chipset. The SoC will be paired with 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of onboard storage. If the market reports are to be believed, the smartphone will pack a 4500 mAh battery. Moreover, the rumours speculate that the phone will flaunt 6.38-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with 2340X1080 pixels of resolution and waterdrop notch. In terms of camera, the device will house a triple rear camera setup at the back. The module will consist of 16MP primary lens, an 8MP wide-angle lens and a 2MP depth sensor. Moreover, we could also see a 32MP shooter upfront for video calling and selfies. As far as the safety is concerned, the handset could ensure safety through face unlock and in-display fingerprint reader.
