Vivo, the Chinese smartphone brand is gearing up to introduce an all-new S-series smartphone in the country. According to the market reports, Vivo S1 is likely to be the first handset to be unveiled under the series, which could be revealed on August 7. The alleged Vivo S1 prices for the Indian market has been leaked online just ahead of the launch. To be made available via online and offline modes, the smartphone will be pitted against Realme X and Xiaomi Redmi K20. Courtesy of Indiashopps.com, the website claims that the starting price for the Vivo S1 will be around Rs 17,990 for base variant - 4GB RAM & 128GB storage. Moreover, the mid-variant with 6GB of RAM & 128GB could be around Rs 19,990. On the other hand, the top-end variant 8GB of RAM & 128GB storage is likely to be priced at Rs 24,990.

As a reminder, the Chinese phone maker launched the Vivo S1 smartphone in Indonesia earlier this month. On the specification front, the smartphone will be equipped with a 6.38-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with resolution of 2340×1080 pixels. The smartphone sports slim bezels throughout the body courtesy of a waterdrop notch on the top. Under the hood, the Vivo S1 will be powered by MediaTek's Helio P65 octa-core chipset that will be mated up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB on-board storage. The device will be backed by a 4,500mAh battery.

Coming to the camera department, the smartphone will flaunt a triple rear camera comprising of a 16MP primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture, 8MP wide angle secondary lens with f/2.2 aperture. The third lens will be a 2MP sensor carrying aperture of f/2.4. Moreover, the handset will be packed with a 32MP selfie camera for videos and selfies. For security, the company will be employing in-display fingerprint sensor. The dual-SIM phone will run on the Android 9.0 Pie based on Funtouch OS 9. The connectivity options include 4G VoLTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5, USB-OTG, Micro USB, and GPS.
