Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has reportedly introduced AI-powered mobile checkout using its TCS OmniStore platform at all Croma stores in India, significantly speeding up the billing process and enhancing the omnichannel shopping experience, which is expected to boost sales and reduce checkout times.
New Delhi, August 12: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has reportedly enabled in-store mobile checkout for all Croma stores in India. As per reports, TCS uses its AI-powered TCS OmniStore platform to deliver a faster checkout and omnichannel shopping experience across touchpoints. The new cloud-based model is expected to eliminate the need for traditional hardware and facilitating a billing process that is four times faster.
The transformation is expected to increase sales and footfall for Croma while reducing checkout time for shoppers. As per a report of Times of India, TCS, an IT service company, has introduced 100 percent in-store mobile checkout for all Croma stores in India. It is reportedly 1st in the retail industry in the country. As per reports, this technology allows Croma to optimise 83 percent of Bill Desk Space. The partnership between TCS and Croma, which began in 2019, was intended to innovate various aspects of the customer experience. The platform's microservices-based architecture provides the ability to scale needed for Croma's operations. The mobile checkout system has reportedly enabled convenient in-store purchases and a smooth shopping experience.
