According to the report from ANI, the apex-court has demanded a reply to the question within four weeks. We previously reported that Law minister - Ravi Shankar Prasad had asked WhatsApp to immediately appoint a grievance officer in the country for addressing the concerns over fake messages that has triggered a series of mob lynchings. According to the report from TOI, WhatsApp has reportedly agreed to all the demands of the Indian government. However, CEO Chris Daniels did not expect of adding a feature which could trace the origin of a message, saying it would tamper the privacy of the WhatsApp user. Moreover, the instant messaging service also told the government that WhatsApp holds no access to user data as it is end-to-end encrypted.
