Cloud Climax, a Chinese seller of DS Doll in Europe, plans to use 3D scanning of real women to speed up the sex robot production! The company earlier had used the artificial intelligence to create a talking sex robot. Marketing Manager of Cloud Climax spoke about the technology they plan to use. He said, "The 3D printer is connected to a 3D scanner which can be used to scan in the body of a full person as well as prototype parts for replication. This type of technology is excellent for creating new doll bodies and faces as they can be developed from a real human."

While he looks at his benefit, the success of this process cannot be beneficial. It would lead to a rise in harassment as it would be easy in the creation of someone's face for a sex doll. The chances are it will recreate a person's identity and misused on a sex doll. An expert also mentioned how it could result in rising cases of revenge porn. The use of sex dolls in itself is said to be dehumanising and with cloning of real faces, the problem gets worse.
