World's First Artificial Meteor Shower in 2020? Test Rocket Shot Into Space by Tokyo Based Startup
On Friday, Japanese startup, (Astro Live Experiences) ALE Co. Ltd, launched its first test microsatellite into orbit from Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) Uchinoura Space Center in Japan.
Japan has once again proved that it is scientifically ahead of rest of the world. On Friday, Japanese startup, (Astro Live Experiences) ALE Co. Ltd, launched its first test microsatellite into orbit from Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) Uchinoura Space Center in Japan. The Tokyo based startup which is on a mission to deliver the world’s first artificial meteor shower blasted into space on Friday. To create the meteor show, a satellite is filled with "400 particles, which are designed to flow super low and glow super bright. The satellites are programmed to ejects the balls at the right location. These balls are filled with a chemical formula which will offer a multi-coloured flotilla of shooting stars. Once the satellite reaches a lower earth orbit, the device will spit out particles which will offer an eight-second-long stream of an artificial shooting star.
“Sky Canvas, the world’s first artificial shooting star project, aims to bring people all over the world together to witness an unprecedented, collective experience,” ALE’s website states, “Using space as our stage, we will constantly strive to bring to life new levels of entertainment.”

As the tests are conducted on Friday, the first official meteor shower by ALE Co LTD is expected to take place until 2020. Calling itself "Space Entertainment" company, ALE, has been working in the project since seven years perfecting the technology for the man-made show. ALE chief executive Lena Okajima while speaking to media said that first ever artificial meteor show will be witnessed by Hiroshima because of its good climate and cultural assets.
