Various celestial events keep occurring and recently the planet Venus and our satellite Moon had a close date. Called the conjunction of Venus and Moon, it saw the two celestial bodies appearing so close to each other, about a half an inch of distance between them. The two bodies were not actually that close but made for some prettiest pictures. Keen observers and astronomy enthusiasts did not miss the chance and took photos of this event which was seen in the night sky of July 15. While India is looming under the monsoon season, the skies are cloudy to make for smooth visibility. Moon and Mars Together! Double Celestial Event At The End of July 2018.

See the proximity!

Look at the beautiful colours!

Last evening’s spectacular night sky with the moon 🌙 and Venus ✨in close alignment over the Olympic Mountains. Can you also spot the Big Dipper when you zoom in just above the mountains on the left? Also striking is the glow to the dark portion of the moon called earthshine, caused by the sunlight reflecting off the earth and illuminating the lunar landscape. 💛 . . . #pnwonderland#ig_skyvibes#king5seattle#natgeoit#skysultans#nature_perfection#nature_brilliance#seattle_sites#seattlemet#sky_brilliance#sky_perfection#nb_nature_brilliance#everything_imaginable#raw_community#nature_hippys#fiftyshades_of_nature_ #fiftyshades_of_twilight#allthingsofbeauty_ #simpley_perfection#thegreat206#ethereal_moods
