Sky lovers, there is something exciting in store for you! Strawberry Moon will brighten the skies on June 27 but may not be in reddish colour.  The name comes after Algonquin tribes, who would consider June's full moon as their right signal to harvest ripened berries. The moon is also referred to as the Honey Moon, Hot Moon, and Full Rose Moon.

While the moon can't be sighted in its full glory in India, it can be seen clearly from the West Coast at 9:53 p.m. on Wednesday. On the East Coast, that will happen later into the evening it will shine at 12:53 a.m. on Thursday. The low arc of the June full moon across the sky makes the moonlight travel through more of the Earth's atmosphere, which gives it an orange or yellow hue.

You will also get to see the closest view of Saturn also as the planet and the sun are on opposite sides of the Earth. However, you will need a telescope to see the planet's rings.

It may not be able to look at the bright moon while at its peak because of a possible glare. It is advisable to check it out right as it's rising at 7:51 p.m. on the West Coast and 8:05 p.m. on the East Coast. With this, you will be able to see the Strawberry Moon as the sun is still setting. The Strawberry Moon is also called Hot Moon as it is the beginning of summer and Rose Moon. It is also referred to as Honey Moon and Hay Moon because it's the time of the first hay harvest.
