New Delhi, September 28: NASA has reportedly cleared the SpaceX Crew-9 Mission, which is scheduled for launch today. The mission will not only send astronauts Aleksandr Gorbunov and Nick Hague to the International Space Station (ISS). The Crew-9 Mission will also serve as a rescue mission for NASA astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore to bring home safely, who are currently aboard at the ISS.

As per a report of The Indian Express, NASA has given the green light for the SpaceX Crew-9 launch, which will take place at the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station pad. The Crew-9 mission is set for today, September 28, and will bring back Boeing Starliner astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore from ISS. After the problems with the Boeing Starliner spacecraft, NASA chose Elon Musk's run SpaceX for the safe return of astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore. The Crew-9 mission, which was originally set to include commander Zena Cardman and Stephanie Wilson, will now only have Hague and Gorbunov on board to make space for the NASA astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore.

The SpaceX Crew-9 launch will be the first time SpaceX uses the SLC-40 pad at the Space Force station in Florida. It will include NASA astronaut Nick Hague and Russian cosmonaut Alexandr Gorbunov on the International Space Station (ISS) today at 1:17 PM EDT (10:47 PM IST). As per reports, it will be the first launch with two astronauts since SpaceX's test flight in May 2020. According to multiple reports, the Crew-9 is scheduled to leave the ISS in February 2025.
