New Delhi, July 18: The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has rectified the fault in it's Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle-Mark III (GSLV-Mk III) and Chandrayaan-2 moon mission is set to launch on July 22 at 2:43 pm from Tamil Nadu's Sriharikota, said space agency in a tweet on Thursday. The rocket GSLV-Mk III was supposed to lift off at 2.51 a.m. on Monday, July 15, with India's second moon mission spacecraft Chandrayaan-2. But One hour before the lift-off officials detected a snag and called off the mission.
"A technical snag was observed in launch vehicle system at 1 hour before the launch. As a measure of abundant precaution, #Chandrayaan2 launch has been called off for today. The revised launch date will be announced later," ISRO tweeted and didn't elaborate further.

The ISRO has scheduled the lift-off of the three-component spacecraft weighing more than 3,500 kg and comprising an orbiter, lander and rover from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC). The Rs 978 crore Chandrayaan-2 onboard the heavy-lift rocket GSLV-Mk III, nicknamed Baahubali, would take 54 days to accomplish the task of soft landing on the Moon.
