The International Space Station is a place with much work and work pressure. But how much ever you work, a human tendency needs a break to relax. The NASA astronauts and cosmonauts who constantly work hard studying for various ongoing researches took a good musical break and did a jamming session! A photo has been posted online by Russian cosmonaut Oleg Artemyev of the crew seen with two guitars, a couple of flutes and looks like a piece of ISS equipment was used as a hand drum. But well, this may be the first of a kind musical jam of 'AstroHawaii' in the space.

NASA astronauts Drew Feustel and Scott Tingle took to the guitars, while Roscosmos cosmonauts Artemyev and Anton Shkaplerov play the flutes. NASA's Ricky Arnold was on the drums. The sixth member of the crew, Japanese astronaut Norishige Kanai, could've been the one behind the camera. The astronauts were sure having a good jamming session up there! What's more amazing is Anton Shkaplerov shared the band's name- AstroHawaii and they too think its possibly the first time such a jamming session has taken place in space.

Take a look at the picture of the astronauts jamming in ISS:

And cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov shared the band details!

This does come as a pleasant surprise to have some music played up in the space but we would like to know more details on what songs these guys jammed on! Also, Tingle has a rock 'n' roll past and Feustel has playing guitar as one of his hobbies, so we are liking how they have taken their interests and developed into a small band of their own. Music always a relief from stress, right?
