Samsung is expected to reveal new Samsung Galaxy X Foldable Smartphone at the Annual Developer Conference 2018.
Samsung, a popular South Korean technology giant will be hosting its annual developer conference for the year 2018 today in the city of San Francisco. At this two day event, the company is expected to exhibit its forthcoming operating system along with some hardware advancements to the third-party developers, so that they have sufficient time to tweak their products accordingly. However, tech giant’s annual event will not be limited to these, as the company might reveal something exciting at the conference. Samsung's annual conference has managed to attract unprecedented amount of interest because of the rumours that Samsung will be using this platform to unveil its much awaited Galaxy X folding smartphone. However, it is not specified that the company will launch the entire Galaxy device or something related to it, in terms of hardware of software that will power the highly awaited foldable smartphone. It is also rumoured that Samsung might reveal more details regarding Galaxy Home AI powered smart speaker at the annual conference alongside Galaxy X folding device.
Pitted against Apple HomePod, the new Galaxy Home AI smart speakers previously revealed at the launch event of Galaxy Note 9 in August. However, the company has remained silent about the device since then. Going by several market reports, it is believed that Samsung might announce a release date for the Home smart speaker prior Christmas.
Samsung might also showcase some new features of Bixby AI assistant along with Tizen smartwatch OS. As a reminder, Tizen OS powers Samsung's Galaxy Watch, which was also revealed at Galaxy Note 9 launch event in August.
