91mobiles highlighted the similarities of the smartphone model series by saying that the Samsung Galaxy XCover 6 Pro was launched with a model number "SM-G736GB", and the Samsung XCover 7 had an "SM-G556GB" model number. This hinted that the company might be working on the XCover smartphone.

The upcoming rugged smartphone, likely to be called "Samsung Galaxy XCover 8 Pro", will likely arrive in mid-2025. The report highlighted that the upcoming Samsung tablet, internally called "Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro", would launch as "Tab Active 6 Pro" next year.
