Samsung, a leading smartphone manufacturing company is all set to launch the much awaited Galaxy S10 smartphone at an unpacked event on February 20, 2019. The Korean tech giant will be launching three variants of the S10 line-up this time around, which are likely to be S10, S10E and S10 Plus. Prior to the launch of its new flagship device, the company has decided to reduce the prices of the Galaxy S9 Plus smartphone in India. All the three models of Galaxy S9 Plus has been reduced wherein the 64GB variant costs Rs 57,900 whereas the 128GB model now retails at Rs 61,900. As far as the specifications are concerned, the Galaxy S9 Plus comes with 6.2-inch Super AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution (2960 X 1440 pixels). Under the hood, the device is powered by Exynos 9810 octa-core processor that is mated with Mali G72MP18 GPU and 6GB of RAM. However, some international units are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 octa-core SoC.
One of the main highlights of the device is that it comes with an improved camera for taking on Apple iPhone X and Google Pixel 2. The smartphone comes with 12MP dual cameras at the back with f/2.4-f/1.5 variable aperture, LED Flash, and 960fps super slow-motion support. Backed by 3500 mAh battery with wireless charging, the phone runs Android Oreo OS out of the box with TouchWiz Custom interface over the top. Additionally, the smartphone also comes with fingerprint reader, Iris Scanner, face recognition and much more.
As a reminder, the Korean tech giant will be launching the new Galaxy S10 at an event on February 20, 2019. Moreover, the company will also be showcasing the smartphones at the forthcoming MWC 2019 in Barcelona, Spain.
