Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ Accepting Pre-Orders In India: How To Book The Phone And Expected Price
Knowing the importance of Indian market for the phone, hours after the launch, the Samsung India website has started accepting pre-orders for the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+.
Samsung showcased its highly anticipated Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ at the Mobile World Congress (MCW) 2018 in Barcelona on Sunday, February 25. We told you about the feature of the phones in previous article. Knowing the importance of Indian market for the phone, hours after the launch, the Samsung India website has started accepting pre-orders for the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+. Interestingly, Samsung has kept a coupon amount of Rs. 2000 for pre-booking the phone.
The customers can pre-order the phone after signing in with their Samsung account (for existing Samsung users), or users not having a Samsung account can sign in by filling in their details such as E-mail Id and mobile numbers.
After signing in with Samsung account, the customers are supposed to choose which model to buy. Both Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ are available in Midnight Black, Coral Blue, Lilac Purple colours. The phones come with 64GB memory except the Midnight Black variety which has 256GB memory. After selecting the model and colour, the customers must make an advance payment of Rs. 2000 following which they will receive a pre-book coupon.
This will entitle the customer to receive an email and message on the day of the launch with the price of the phone. Customers then must apply their pre-book coupon at checkout to adjust Rs. 2,000/- from their final payable amount.
The prices of the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ have not been announced in India. However, in a lot of markets, the pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ will begin from March 2. The expected shipping will start from March 16. In the US, the Samsung Galaxy S9 is priced at $719.99 (roughly Rs. 47,000). The Samsung Galaxy S9+ will be available at $839.99 (roughly Rs. 54,500). The prices in India are expected to be higher than that in the US. Also, the 256GB memory Midnight Black variant will be even dearer and may cost up to Rs. 70,000.
