Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Gets First OTA Update Within 10 Days of Global Launch

Samsung is all set to launch the new Galaxy Note 9 smartphone in India on August 22.

Samsung launched the new Galaxy Note 9 flagship smartphone globally on August 9, which is slated to launch in India on August 22. The smartphone is already available for pre-orders via online platforms like Flipkart and Amazon with a price of Rs. 67,900. Moreover, the company is also offering a hefty discount of Rs. 12,000 on the predecessor - Galaxy Note 8. Within ten days of the global launch, Samsung has already started pushing an update to its newest offering - Galaxy Note 9, reports Sammobile. GSMArena also reported that the media unit with them did not receive an update notification. So, it is believed that the South Korean smartphone maker is rolling out the update to Snapdragon Variants, which are sold in America and China.

The new OTA update brings a toggle switch between two Super slow-motion capture modes. Now, the users can shoot slow-motion videos in 0.2s of 960fps or 0.4s of 480fps in manual mode. The OTA update comes with a version number - N960FXXU1ARH5. Moreover, the release note also specifies the performance tweaks, general software stability and bug fixes as well. Samsung India will be launching the new Note 9 flagship smartphone in India next week on Wednesday. The new Note 9 comes with a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED Infinity display with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. Fitted with an Exynos octa-core processor, the chipset is coupled with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of inbuilt storage (expandable up to 1TB). The phablet comes fitted with a dual rear camera (12MP) and an 8MP selfie shooter as well as an improved battery backup of 4000 mAh.
