Mumbai, September 22: South Korean tech major Samsung will officially launch a new smartphone under its M series lineup tomorrow in India. The new Galaxy M55s 5G phone will come as a replacement for the Galaxy M55. Some key features and specifications of the phone have been revealed online, courtesy of a microsite, which is listed on Amazon. The 5G handset is said to retail exclusively via Amazon, Samsung’s official website and offline retailers. Here’s everything you need to know about Samsung’s new M-Series 5G phone.
Display & Display:
Samsung’s latest M Series smartphone, the Galaxy M55s boasts a 6.7-inch sAMOLED FHD+ display supporting a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,000 units of peak brightness. It also gets Samsung’s Vision Booster technology for an enhanced viewing experience, even in bright outdoor conditions. Moreover, the panel has a punch-hole cut-out housing a 50MP front camera. The Galaxy M55s carries a fusion double design pattern showcasing a sleek and lightweight design with a slim 7.8mm thickness. The phone will be available in two colours - Thunder Black and Coral Green.
Processor & Variant Details:
Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy M55s could get a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC. The chipset will come clubbed with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. If the recent reports are to be believed, Samsung could the handset with a 12GB RAM variant as well. On that line, we expect a bigger configuration variant too. Camera:
As for optics, there will be a vertically aligned triple rear camera setup on the Samsung Galaxy M55s. It will comprise a 50MP primary shooter with optical image stabilisation (OIS), an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro sensor. Another highlight is that it comes with a dual recording feature that allows video capturing from both front and rear cameras simultaneously. It will also pack the handset with a Nightography feature for low-light imaging. Up front, there will be a 50MP snapper for selfies and video calls.
Battery & OS:

Expected Price:
Lastly, the Samsung Galaxy M55s is said to succeed the Galaxy M55 under its M Series, which is a mid-range offering. Thus, we expect Samsung to launch the handset at a similar price, which could cost between INR 25,999 and INR 30,000.
