Mumbai, September 15: Samsung recently launched the Galaxy M05 smartphone under its budget-friendly Galaxy M Series for the Indian market with a price tag of INR 7,000 for the only 4GB + 64GB variant. Samsung’s newest entry-level offering comes as a successor to the Galaxy M04. The handset is available via Amazon, its official website and select retail stores. The Samsung Galaxy M05 is offered in a single Mint Green colourway. But how does the Samsung Galaxy M05 stack against its arch-rival – the Realme Narzo N61? We find out in this comparison.

For optics, the Samsung Galaxy M05 has a dual rear camera setup comprising a 50MP primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP snapper with an f/2.4 aperture. The front camera is an 8MP shooter for selfies and video calls. On the contrary, the Realme Narzo gets a 32MP primary camera with a secondary snapper at the rear. The front camera is a 5MP shooter for selfies and video calls.

Samsung Galaxy M05 packs a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support. It runs on Samsung’s in-house developed OneUI based on Android 14. The handset is confirmed to receive OS updates for two years and four years of security updates. Realme Narzo N61, on the other hand, is shipped with a 5,000 mAh battery with 10W charging support. It runs on Realme’s UI 5 based on Android 14. It has an IP54 rating for water and dust resistance.

As mentioned above, the Samsung Galaxy M05 comes in a sole 4GB + 64GB variant, carrying a price tag of INR 7,000. Verdict:

The Samsung Galaxy M05 is a clear winner here with respect to camera and processor. But falls short in the display department. So, if you are looking for better viewing experience with decent specification, Realme Nazro N61 would be a better option.
