Samsung India is all set to initiate the sale of the new smartphone - Galaxy J8 on Thursday. Yesterday, Samsung Mobile India tweeted a video, which showcased a new camera feature that lets users reshape background blurred lights into star, heart, butterfly and more shapes. The new smartphone will be offered in three coloured variants – Blue, Black & Gold with a price tag of Rs. 18,990. Also, Samsung Galaxy J8 offers cashback of Rs. 1,500 when purchased from ICICI Bank cards and Paytm.

Talking about the specifications, the smartphone sports a 6-inch HD+ infinity AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC paired with a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage space expandable up to 256GB. In terms of graphics, the smartphone gets an Adreno 506 GPU. The new smartphone runs on the latest Android Oreo 8.0 OS and packs a 3,500 mAh battery.

Coming to optics, the device carries a dual camera setup of 16MP+5MP sensors at the rear and a 16MP at the front for selfies. The camera also includes features like Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama & HDR. The new Galaxy J8 smartphone features Chat over Video, which allows users to chat on WhatsApp or any messaging app while watching videos at same time. The phone will also support Samsung Mall and Samsung Pay Mini for mobile payments.
