Mumbai, May 26: Samsung Mobile India will officially launch the much-awaited Galaxy F55 5G smartphone in India tomorrow. The mid-range 5G smartphone will be the latest entrant in Samsung’s F Series. Initially, Samsung planned to introduce the phone in India on May 17. However, the launch got delayed to May 27 due to unavoidable circumstances. After the price announcement, the smartphone will go on sale at 7 pm IST with a bundled offer, including Galaxy Fit3 at Rs. 1,999 and a 45W travel adapter at Rs. 499. The Galaxy F55 India prices were leaked online, revealing most of its specifications and variant line-up. Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2024 Event Expected on July 10 in Paris.
As per the recently leaked information, the Samsung Galaxy F55 will come in three variants – 8GB + 128GB, 8GB +256GB and 12GB +256GB. The 5G phone will come in two colours - Apricot Crush and Raisin Black. The smartphone has been listed on the official Samsung website, confirming the leaked features and specifications.
The Samsung Galaxy F55 5G phone will sport a 6.7-inch FHD+ SAMOLED Plus display with a 120Hz refresh rate and in-display fingerprint sensor. Under the hood, it gets an octa-core Qualcomm-sourced Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. The phone also gets an external storage support of up to 1TB via a microSD card slot.
The Samsung Galaxy F55 5G will have a triple rear camera module comprising a 50MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and OIS support. The other two cameras are an 8MP ultrawide snapper and a 2MP macro lens. The front camera is a 50MP shooter with f/2.4 aperture. The phone will be backed by a massive 5,000 mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. The Galaxy F55 will run on Samsung’s One UI 6.0 based on Android 14 OS out-of-the-box. The brand has promised to provide four years of OS upgrades and five years of security updates.
