Samsung will be launching Galaxy A8s smartphone with Infinity-O display on December 10 ahead of Huawei Nova 4.
After Huawei confirmed the launch date of its new Nova 4 smartphone (December 17), Samsung has now confirmed that it will be launching a new smartphone - Galaxy A8s in China on December 10. Carrying a similar design, both the smartphones will sport a display hole for incorporating a selfie camera. Both the companies will be battling it out to introduce their first smartphone with a unique design. It is believed that Samsung waited for Huawei to announce the launch date of Nova 4 and later the Korean phone maker revealed the arrival of Galaxy A8s. On the specification front, the new Samsung Galaxy A8s is expected to carry a 6.39-inch display FHD+ resolution as well as aspect ratio of 19.5:9. Going by the rumours, the smartphone will be powered by 710 SoC and will come clubbed with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory. In terms of optics, the new Galaxy A8s is expected to sport a triple rear camera module featuring 24MP, 5MP and 10MP sensors. Upfront, the upcoming phone will be fitted with a 24MP shooter for selfies and video calling. It is also rumoured that the company will launch the smartphone in Black Grey gradient colour. To be backed by a 3400 mAh battery, the smartphone will also support USB Type C port.
On the other hand, Huawei Nova 4 will be launched on December 17 that will carry a very similar design. Key highlights of the phone are Kirin 980 SoC, 6GB RAM, 128GB ROM, an in-display fingerprint sensor, Android 9 Pie and more.
