Samsung Galaxy A8 Star Launched in India at Rs 34,990; To Rival OnePlus 6 and Poco F1

After India debut of Galaxy Note 9 earlier this week, Samsung India now silently has launched the new Galaxy A8 Star smartphone in India at Rs 34,990. Offered in 2 shades - Midnight Black and Ivory White, the new Samsung Galaxy A8 Star will be retailed online exclusively via Amazon India from August 27. However, the smartphone will be available at retail stores from September 5. Ahead of launch, the company teased the phone on Amazon India revealing the approximate pricing. Talking about the specifications, the new Samsung Galaxy A8 Star boasts a 6.3-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity Display with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. In the camera department, the smartphone carries a dual camera module comprising 16MP primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture and 24MP secondary lens with f/1.7 aperture along with dedicated LED flash. Upfront, the phone features a 24MP shooter with f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calling. Under the hood, the phone is fitted with an Octa-core Qualcomm 660 processor clubbed with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage, expandable up to 400GB via microSD card. The smartphone comes with a 3700 mAh of battery backup. Running Android 8.1 Oreo OS, the phone features Fingerprint reader, Face Recognition, Samsung Pay (NFC only), Bixby and much more.
