South Korea, August 26: Samsung already has launched its foldable smartphones - Galaxy Z Fol6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 in the market this year. The South Korean tech giant first launched its foldable smartphone Samsung Galaxy Fold in the market in 2019. However, as per a new report, the company has been working on new designs that will include double-foldable and rollable smartphones. 

According to a report by Tech Radar,  Samsung has been developing new form factor products which will include next-gen foldable smartphones having rollable designs and double-foldable options. Samsung Rollable Flex Display Reveal in 2023

Samsung has yet to reveal the official teaser or details of its upcoming technologies for foldable; however, the report said that the company would be the first in the market to bring such innovation. Samsung executive Chung Yi reportedly said during the iMid 2024 Conference that the double-folding multi-foldable and rollable were being developed by the company. 

Despite Samsung developing these new designs of the foldable, other companies like Huawei may be the first ones to release double or even triple-foldable soon. The company's new smartphone would likely be launched next month, way sooner than Samsung's release date. Samsung already demoed its rollable display last year confirming that it was working on it; however, the date of its arrival may not be sooner. The report mentioned that Samsung might have to hit a price that is not too expensive and begin mass production of these devices with advanced foldable tech as soon as possible. The rumours hint that Samsung might launch these devices much later as it has been developing them for several years.
