Reliance Jio, a newest 4G feature phone from the leading telecomm provider will be made available for purchase via flash sale today at 12pm IST. The interested customers can purchase the second iteration of 4G JioPhone via official Jio website. Previously, the company offered a cashback of Rs 300 via Paytm; but this time there is no mention of such offers during the sale. Ever since the first JioPhone was introduced in 2017, the company has emerged as the biggest brand in the Indian feature phone segment. JioPhone 2 is essentially an upgraded iteration of the original JioPhone, which comes with bigger display and full QWERTY keyboard. The main highlights of the feature phone are 2.4-inch QVGA display, 4G connectivity, and full QWERTY keyboard. The phone also sports 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot. For photography, there is a 2MP primary camera at the rear and a 0.3-megapixel snapper for selfies and video calling.

As far as the OS is concerned, the JioPhone runs KaiOS, which is touted as a smart operating system designed for feature phones. The feature phone also supports YouTube, Google Maps, Facebook, WhatsApp and Google Assistant. Supporting 4G VoLTE, the Reliance Jio packs a 2,000mAh battery. Priced at Rs 2,999, Reliance JioPhone 2 comes with connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, Voice over Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth.
