After revolutionizing 4G space, Reliance Jio is now all geared up to launch its 5G services next year. As per the report from Financial Express, India's leading telecom giant is eyeing to become the first telecom player to provide 5G services in the country. The report highlights that Mukesh Ambani-led company will be launching 5G handsets along with 5G service by April 2020. Moreover, the telecom giant is also believed to be in talks for assembling 5G-enabled devices with vendors. As a reminder, 5G is likely to be offered in US, Europe, Korea and China this year and it is believed to expand across the globe next year. And, Reliance Jio is looking to offer 5G services in India along with its 5G handsets. It was speculated that 5G support might be limited to flagship devices, however, Reliance Jio seems to bring it on the affordable products for the average consumers. Moreover, testing of equipment by leading telecom players is already done and the spectrum auction for 5G deployment could happen in July.

Major telecom operators wanted to push back the auction of spectrum due to lack of availability for affordable 5G services. However, the government confirmed that the auction for 5G airwaves will happen by second half of 2019. On the other hand, Samsung Mobile is also likely to launch its first 5G-enabled handset at the Unpacked event which is slated to happen on February 20. Other smartphone makers such as Huawei and LG are expected to showcase their 5G devices at MWC 2019. Expect more details coming out in respect to 5G service in coming days.
