Mumbai, August 19: Redmi has silently launched a new Redmi A3x smartphone under its budget-friendly A3 series in the country. Redmi offers A3x phone in two variants - 3GB + 64GB and 4GB + 128GB. The former is priced at INR 6,999, while the latter costs INR 7,999. The handset has been listed on the official website and Amazon e-commerce platform. It’s worth noting that the phone is similar to the global counterpart featuring a circular camera deco design and transparent mirror sheen glass rear panel.

Redmi A3x is available in four colour options - Midnight Black, Ocean Green, Olive Green, and Starry White. It sports a 6.71-inch HD+ display with 90Hz refresh rate, 500nits brightness, and 720 x 1650 pixels resolution, which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. Powering the handset is a Unisoc T603 chipset that is paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. Coming to camera department, the Redmi A3x packs a dual rear camera unit with an 8MP primary sensor with f/2.0 aperture while the front camera is a 5MP snapper with f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video calls. It is backed by a 5,000 mAh battery with 10W wired charging with Type-C port. The phone runs on HyperOS based on Android 14 OS with two major Android upgrades and 3 years of security updates. For security, it gets a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock feature.
