Mumbai, September 1: Chinese tech giant Xiaomi officially launched a new Redmi 14C budget smartphone under its Redmi sub-brand globally. It comes as a successor to the Redmi 13C, which was introduced in December 2023. Though Xiaomi hasn’t revealed the price of the budget phone, it’s already available in Czechia with a starting price of CZK 2,999 (around INR 11,000). The top-end variant with 8GB+256GB configuration costs CZK 3,699 (around Rs. 13,500). The brand is yet to reveal plans for the handset’s arrival in India.

The budget phone comes in four colourways - Dreamy Purple, Midnight Black, Sage Green, and Starry Blue. It sports a 6.88-inch HD+ LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, 720x1640 pixels resolution and 450nits peak brightness level. Realme 13 Pro+ 5G Monet Purple Colour Variant Launched in India.

Powering the handset is MediaTek’s Helio G81 chipset, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage. It comes with a provision to expand onboard storage via a microSD card slot. For optics, there is a dual rear camera setup that comprises a 50MP primary shooter with an f/1.8 aperture and an unspecified lens with an LED flash. The front camera is a 13MP shooter with f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calls. The Redmi 14C packs a 5,160mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. However, the power adapter doesn’t come bundled with the phone. It runs on Xiaomi’s HyperOS skin on top of Android 14.
