Mumbai, June 4: Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi launched the Redmi 13 4G smartphone in select European regions with a starting price of EUR 179.99 (around Rs. 16,000). The affordable smartphone comes in two variants – 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage. The 8GB RAM variant costs EUR 199.99 (around Rs. 18,000). The key highlights of the smartphone are MediaTek Helio G91 Ultra SoC, IP54 rating, a 5,030mAh battery with fast charging support, 108MP camera and more. Redmi offers the 4G smartphone in three colour options – pink, blue and black. The phone is up for grabs in select European markets through online retailers. Currently, there’s no word from the company when the handset will launch in India or globally.
Specification-wise, the newly launched Redmi 13 4G boasts a 6.79-inch FHD+ IPS panel with a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone draws power from MediaTek’s octa-core Helio G91 Ultra chipset clubbed with up to 8GB and 256GB internal storage. The brand offers an option to expand onboard storage to up to 1TB via a microSD card.
In the camera department, the Redmi 13 4G gets a 108MP primary shooter with a 2MP depth sensor and an LED flash. Up front, it has a 13MP sensor for video calls and selfies. The smartphone also gets an IP53 rating for dust and water splash resistance.
The 4G-enabled Redmi 13 is backed by a 5,030 mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. It’s worth noting that the company doesn’t ship the phone with a bundled charger in the box, and customers will have to purchase one separately. The smartphone runs on Xiaomi’s HyperOS based on Android 14 OS out of the box.
