This year the ante has been raised higher and higher with each release of a new Smartphone or gadget with unique abilities and feature which has tethered Tech consumer to a state of awe. This new device will be releasing this year, will be a total surprise to many smartphone lovers because it’s coming from a company that’s known for its camera business of which movies were astonishingly massive in terms of detail and quality with movies like The Martian, The Hobbit, The Guardians of the Galaxy, Transformers and many more. Red Digital Cinema Camera with Verizon finally revealed that it will be launching soon its first Smartphone in the market this year.

RED, last year announced it would release the "world's first holographic media machine" in early 2018. Later it teased an image of the Hydrogen One. HYDROGEN ONE is the world’s first holographic phone with 4-View technology a device that would offer users 3D-like experiences without glasses.

RED Hydrogen One packs a 5.7-inch holographic media machine which features an industrial yet polished design with a powerful pogo pin system (like Moto Z Series) that allows you to add stackable modules to your phone for added functionality. It’s a revolutionary phone designed for digital creativity, from cinema to music to photography to art. To power this machine it’s loaded with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835. Under the hood, it packs 4500 mA battery. That's about 30% bigger than most smartphone batteries that are currently in the market.

About its RAM and OS, it’s still not confirmed but judging from its features and pricing it may come in 8 GB variant or higher and with the current OS Android 8.0 Oreo. Hydrogen One will be priced at$1,195 (₹ 81,320) for the aluminium variant, or $1,595 (₹ 1,08,540) for the more premium titanium version.

With Content creators in mind, RED has revealed few features that the User will be able to do with RED Hydrogen One; it can shoot 3D on both sides of the phone. This could mean that 3D selfies would now be a thing, and it also hints at the scale of ambition behind the content ecosystem for the HYDROGEN. It really does look like RED is setting out their stall to have 4V adopted by the masses.
