Realme, the Chinese smartphone brand has officially launched a new smartphone in its home market. Called as Realme X2, the newly launched smartphone is technically a new variant of Realme XT, which will be dubbed as Realme XT 730G when launched in the Indian market. The smartphone was leaked a couple of times on the internet. It is important to note that Realme X2 is not a successor to the Realme X. As far as the specifications are concerned, the smartphone gets a 6.4-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with resolution of 2340x1080 pixels. The smartphone also features a waterdrop-style notch and screen-to-body ratio of 91.9 percent along with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Under the hood, the smartphone packs an octa-core chipset from Qualcomm - Snapdragon 730G SoC, which is paired with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal memory. The phone also gets an in-display fingerprint sensor for added security.
In terms of photography, the phone packs the same quad-camera module as seen on Realme XT. The smartphone gets a 64MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, which is sourced from Samsung. It also gets an 8MP wide-angle lens and two 2MP sensors for depth sensing and macro images. Upfront, the smartphone comes equipped with a 32MP sensor for video calling and selfies. The connectivity options on the smartphone are carried out by LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, NFC, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The handset is backed by a massive 4000 mAh battery with 30W VOOC 4.0 Flash charge technology.
On the pricing front, the base variant (6GB RAM + 64GB storage) of Realme X2 is priced at CNY 1,599 (around Rs 16,000) whereas the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage costs CNY 1,899 (around Rs 19,000). Realme's newest offering will be available in two colour options - Pearl Blue and Pearl White colour options.
