In a bid to expand its product portfolio for the Indian market, Realme India on Wednesday launched the new Realme U1 smartphone in the country. Introduced at Rs 11,999, the new Realme U1 smartphone is offered in 2 variants - 3GB RAM and 4GB RAM. The smartphone is slated to go on sale exclusively via Amazon India on December 5 at 12 PM IST. As far as the specifications are concerned, the new Realme U1 smartphone sports a 6.3-inch FHD+ Display with Dewdrop Notch on the top. The phone carries resolution of 2340 X 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. Offering screen to body ratio of 90 percent, the smartphone is protected by Gorilla Glass 3. Under the hood, the phone comes powered by all-new MediaTek Helio P70 chipset with AI-enabled capabilities. Moreover, the chipset is clubbed with ARM Mali-G72 GPU and up to 4GB of RAM.  The phone also supports external memory which can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.

For photography, the Realme U1 Smartphone comes with a 25MP Sony IMX576 sensor with aperture of f/2.0 for enhanced selfies. The company has also introduced dual camera module at the rear which features 13MP primary shooter and 2MP secondary sensor along with LED flash light. The dual-SIM smartphone also comes with Slo-mo Video feature, which will also on Realme 2 Pro by the end of this year. Backed by 3500 mAh battery, the new Realme U1 smartphone runs ColorOS 5.2 based on Android 8.1. The phone is also offered in 3 exciting shades - Fiery Gold, Ambitious Black and Brave Blue. Talking about the prices, the base variant with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory is priced at Rs 11,499 whereas the variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage costs Rs 14,499. The Chinese smartphone maker has also launched the Realme U1 Iconic Case and Realme Buds at Rs 499 each.
